Carp Valley Association is a non-governmental organization operating since 2006 on the sustainable development of the Carp Valley. The area of the Association is the seven municipalities in the Malopolska region in the district of Oświecim (Osiek, Polanka Wielka, Przeciszów and Zator) and Wadowice (Brzeźnica, Spytkowice and Tomice).
Valley Association Carp is a voluntary, self-governing, stable union of natural persons and legal entities, including local government, aimed at promoting the strengthening of local activity, business development using local resources cultural, historical and natural heritage, as well as increase the tourist attractiveness of the Carp Valley by building a coherent and visible tourist offer.
The development process of the Carp Valley Association and gaining experience can be divided into four stages, which resulted in documents defining the directions of development of the Carp Valley:
Stage I - the creation Carp Valley Association and the Integrated Rural Development Strategy.
Stage II - the creation of Local Action Group under the RDP 2007-2013 and the creation of the Local Rural Development Strategy.
Stage III - the creation of the Local Group of Fisheries under OP FISH 2007-2013 and the establishment of the Local Development Strategy Fishing Areas.
Stage IV - the establishment of Local Action Group under the RDP 2014-2020 and 2014-2020 PO RiM and the creation of the Local Development Strategy by the Guided Community for 2014-2020 for the area of the Carp Valley (multi-fund).
In 2016, the Association of Carp Valley, the only one Local Action Group in the Malopolska region, gained funding for the Strategy for the Development of the Guided by the Community for 2014-2020 within the framework of the two programs, ie. The Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 and the Operational Programme "Fisheries and the Sea "for the years 2014-2020. As part of the strategy, the Association has at its disposal 17 150 000.00 zł, which organized the calls for proposals will convey to persons / entities developing area of the Carp Valley in terms of economic, social and tourism, with the principles of sustainable development. The Association also received funds for management, information and promotion and mobilization of local communities in the amount of 2 450 000,00 zł and cooperation projects with Polish and foreign partners in the amount of 433 000.00 zł.
